One of my favorite business activities is working with business owners who are transforming the lives of their clients. When we work on the copy, and when we find their story. they reach even more prospective clients and deliver even more value.
A while back I worked with my client “Juliette.” She runs a money coaching business, working at the intersection between finance and mindset. She was targeting a new market and looking for a new story.
Juliette’s been around a while. She’s a pretty good copywriter herself, but her heart lies elsewhere — helping her clients change their attitudes about money so they feel empowered instead of helpless. She doesn’t want to spend the time on content strategy; she does a lot of marketing at networking events and she needs time to serve her existing clients.
Every so often, Juliette sets up a call so she can work on a particular challenge. Like many business owners who could write their own copy, she recognizes the value of brainstorming. Just speaking your ideas aloud, and telling your story to someone else, will make you see them in a whole new way.
Each time we talk Juliette gets new ideas for her marketing. And we have a good time on the calls.
