I'm not sure I see what we're supposed to get from this article. For one thing, not all people feel this way at age 75. Some people are in great shape till later. As the author says, some of the problems can be treated.

Also, the author reports having crippling depression. If you haven't had depression, it can be harder to relate.

The author does express concern about how he will die. This means we need to work harder on medically assisted dying. And we need to define better ways of growing older with more motivation to keep going and less trougle getting medical support.
